Haven't seen the official midweek figures yet, but the constantly updating Amazon sales chart suggests that Lyla is managing a sluggish mid-20s position in the overall rankings. Not exactly setting the world aflame, then.

The midweeks are out, and, almost needless to say, it's a mile clear, about three to one over Akon.Much more intriguing news lower down, though, as Antony & The Johnsons might score a surprise Top 40 entry. Unless those download additions that encourage the growth of new music so much keep Phantom Planet or someone in the chart for another pointless week instead.
Curious, and disappointing...
(the number one slot for Oasis, I mean)
I love this Round Table-style review, feat. Popular Tom Ewing.
Buying singles on Amazon, especially standalone, doesn't make a great deal of sense, though. Why pay £2.99+P&P of about £1.75 when you could nip down the shops and buy it for £1.99? It's number two on the Amazon singles list, anyway, behind, er, Amarillo (mind you, Wolfman and Doherty's For Lovers is at 8)
Noel, Liam, don't take it too hard. Being the new Status Quo means that you won't always have number ones, but your loyal fans will always buy your output, even when it's a stinking pile of number two.
