AND THIS IS HOW YOU DELETE ALL THE TRACKS YOU'VE ONLY PUT ON TO IMPRESS ABIGAIL FROM ACCOUNTS...

The great thing about the iPod, of course, is that its designed so well, even the sort of fool routinely pitied by Mr T could use one. We're not sure, then, who Selfridges are targeting with their £65 iPod lessons - they say there's customer demand for the tutorial there. Certainly, you'd have to be have a mind slimmer than an iPod Nano to not twig that the Apple store round the corner does the same sort of thing, but for free.

It's a scenario worthy of 'Nathan Barley'

"We're not sure, then, who Selfridges are targeting"... People with more money than sense, maybe?

Surely, though, anonymous, the people with that much cash to piss away would be sending their iPod off to one of those services which fills them for you...?

Speak of the Department Store:

"Selfridges set up a music transfer service, SpeedPod, in December 2005. The store will rip CDs for £2.50 a pop. iPod owners unwilling to bring their discs in themselves can pay £5 to have them couriered to the shop and back - or for free if they want 40 or more CDs transferred."

So to fill 10Gb with music, you'll need to rip around 100 CDs (dependent on bitrate, album length etc etc) which comes to £250.

Oooh...oh so tempting...
