John Lennon: A Mail On Sunday hero is something to be

Nobody ever bought John Lennon's working class, man-of-the-people shtick, but when he was alive he'd never have been quite so careless of trying to maintain the illusion as to let the Mail On Sunday give away a compilation of his tunes.

Noticed the ad for that during my net downtime. Needless to say, all tracks from the Plastic Ono Band album were conspicuous by their absence. Not quite as hideous as their Seal giveaway ad, which more than anything else confirmed him as Kenny Lynch's natural successor.
